It’s now just seven days until the launch of my second novel, “Out of Office”, and it’s all becoming rather exciting, with various literary blogs showing a great deal of interest. I really hope the book takes off, but time will tell. Even one review in the nationals would be nice. Maybe they’re too busy promoting David Baddiel’s new film. I mean, he writes about it in the Times on Saturday then the Sunday Times puts him on the cover, good for you David...
In the meantime my new book, provisionally titled “Emptiness”, has now taken on a life of its own. I’ve been working at a steady rate of 2,000 words a day and I’m up to 38,000 words, so I’m roughly halfway. The main character has undergone some changes that I certainly wasn’t planning... funny how books take you places you never expected, even when you’re the one writing them.
