#OutofOfficeQuotes 72: "The oral history, the myth and legend of the street..."

#OutofOfficeQuotes 72:

‘Up and down the City Road, in and out the Eagle…

That’s the way the money goes, pop goes the weasel…’

The Eagle pub he passes is new by London standards, but stands on the site of the one in the song. He likes that sense of history: not the official one he learned at school, all kings and queens and coronations, but the oral history, the myth and legend of the street.

My second novel, Out of Office (published by Legend Press in paperback), is now on Kindle for 99p.
